Giuseppe deals with tax issues relating to assessments and the refund of customs duties, excise, VAT, and other indirect taxes, as well as tax penalties.
He is a customs advisor for various industrial companies, including multinationals, forwarding agents, and customs agents, in relation to the value of goods, classification, preferential and non-preferential origin, customs procedures, customs deposits and VAT, regulation of ‘dual use’ goods, restructuring of the logistics chain, AEO, protection of the “Made in Italy,” goods labelling, and customs audits.
Before becoming a lawyer, he was for several years, an officer at the Italian customs administration, where he was able to train and develop expertise in the customs field.
For three years, he performed the duties of Honorary Deputy Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Milan.
He is the author of articles in specialist tax journals and regularly speaks at courses and conventions on customs and tax matters.
