Senior Counsel – Corporate Tax
Marina is a legal auditor, specialised in Accounting Advisory.
Her educational path includes a Master of Business Administration at a primary Scottish university.
She deals with consultancy in accounting matters, supporting clients in various activities and projects such as preparation of financial statements and reporting (separate and consolidated) with reference in particular to the proper application of accounting standards (Italian and IFRS); projects of accounting conversion, in view of the adoption of new accounting models and standards; projects of analysis, implementation and up-dating of accounting reporting, planning and control systems (e.g. budget, forecast cash flow, business plan), even in view of the adoption, review and up-dating of proper administrative, organizational and accounting set-up.
She provides expert advice by opinions aimed at individuating and applying the most appropriate accounting treatment to complex business transactions and events (e.g. business combination, financial instruments, employees’ benefits, share based payments, impairment test, etc.).
Marina has also extensive experience in management and performance of accounting due diligences and forensic accounting projects.
She usually works closely with her tax and legal colleagues, in view of providing integrated consultancy services, taking into account the interactions existing between different disciplines.
She started her career as an auditor in a Big Four. Subsequently, she was responsible for financial statements, management reporting and direct tax compliance in an industrial company operating in the avionics sector. Finally, Marina worked for several years in a company providing outsourcing, tax and administrative servicing, having responsibility for various outsourcing project, for accounting consultancy services and resource training.
