Carmelo has a twenty-five years’ experience providing assistance to investors, professional lenders, corporates and financial sponsors in banking and private debt transactions (corporate lending, real estate finance and acquisition finance), structured finance (securitisations, NPLs and trade receivables financing) and market products (derivatives, repos, securities lending and margin loans).

He is used to assist foreign clients on their “first time” transactions in Italy providing guidance on proper structuring having regards to the peculiarities of the Italian legal, regulatory and tax framework.

He is qualified in Italy and admitted before the Supreme Court (Cassazionista) and also qualified as solicitor admitted in England and Wales. 

He has practiced in London for six years in English and Italian law firms.
